Title Issues

Obtaining title to your vehicle is an important part of ownership. It proves that you are the legal owner of the vehicle. The titling process is regulated by the DMV. A dealer is required to provide you title to your vehicle within a reasonable time after the sale of the vehicle.

Specific rules govern exactly how much time they have, but after 90 days, if you do not have title the dealer is likely out of excuses. Not having title can lead to issues with obtaining license plates and proper DMV registration.
