Selling Over Advertised Price
Every dealer who advertises an offering price for a motor vehicle in any media must post the advertised offering price on the vehicle in a clear and conspicuous manner. Any price stated in an advertisement or a price quote must be the offering price of the car.
Many times, the consumer will agree on a price with the dealer, only to find out later that the finance manager did not apply the agreed upon price for the vehicle on the final contract. Dealers are free to mark up or down the vehicle, but they must be clearly disclosed and agreed upon by the consumer.
